Why you, and not a consulting firm?
A firm sells you a team: a partner for the pitch, then an assigned hire for the work. The seat is the opposite. You get me, one on one, and I run my own companies, hold my own mandates and sit on my own boards while I do it. I have carried the risk you are carrying. A consultant writes the deck and leaves; I stay through the negotiation and the signature, and the fee is a fraction of a firm's retainer for a fraction of the attention.
Why is the 15-minute call paid?
Because it filters. The people I want to talk to value their own time at more than USD 500, and the fee removes everyone else from the calendar. It is credited in full against anything you buy within 30 days and refunded if I decline your file, so a real client never pays for it.
Why USD 30,000 a month?
My rack rate is USD 2,000 an hour. A 90-day commitment buys it at USD 1,000: 30 hours a month, tracked and reported. The seat replaces a chief dealmaker, a strategy consultant, a market-entry adviser, an introducer and a negotiator, and I only take files where ninety days of my attention is worth many multiples of the fee. If your file is smaller, I will say so on the call.
Why is the annual rate lower?
Volume and certainty. Two thousand and eighty committed hours let me plan a year around one company instead of a quarter around one file, so the rate drops from USD 2,000 to USD 750 and you get the whole desk, full-time. I take one annual seat at a time, and only where I can see a path to ten times the fee inside the first year.
Why 90 days, not a month?
Deals and restructurings die from silence. Thirty days gets you a memo. Ninety days gets you through the five gates: diagnosed, validated, designed, implemented and either signed or stopped with a documented reason. Shorter engagements produce advice, not outcomes.
Can I buy and book online?
Yes. The call, the decision session and the seat deposit are paid online by card or bank; you receive the scheduling link and paper automatically. The balance of a seat is settled by bank transfer against the engagement letter.
Do you take a success fee as well?
On some deal files, yes, agreed in writing before we start and credited against the retainer where appropriate. On architecture, market-entry and board seats, usually no. Everything is in the engagement letter.
Will you hold our funds, escrow or documents?
No. I coordinate; your lawyers, bankers and escrow agents execute. I never take custody of client funds or assets.
What if you can't close it, or the model doesn't work?
You receive a documented decision pack: what was tried, what the numbers said, who said what, what it would take. Some of the most valuable outcomes are a clear "no" at the day-30 gate instead of a slow "maybe" over two years.
Which markets?
Core: Canada, India, the UAE, Qatar and Africa. Exploring: Africa and South-East Asia. I work in English, Urdu and Hindi.
Can my company hire you for a board seat instead?
Yes. I hold board and advisory seats in energy, healthcare and technology, and I take a small number of independent director and fractional chief strategy officer roles each year. Book the same call.
